Zenith '50-R' Hearing Aid w/ box
Content Description
This portable mono-pack, or body-type, hearing aid makes use of transistors for amplification. The device is composed of black-coloured metals and dark plastics, overall roughly rectangular--2 1/8"x 1 3/4"x 3/4". The manufacturer's name is inscribed upon the face. The combination volume control/on-off dial is located along the artifact's sides, adjacent to the inscribed label: VOLUME. The microphone itself is recessed into a rectangular depression, looped by the wire garment clip, and covered with a perforated plate. The back is inscribed: Zenith / "50-R" / the royalty of hearing / 1831974. The single battery [absent] may be accessed through a hinged compartment at the bottom of this side. The box's navy blue lid is printed with the manufacturer's insignia--a crowned coat of arms. The interior is outfitted with a paper tray, indented to allow the instrument to fit snugly in place. The box is overall rectangular--1"x 3 1/8"x 3 7/8".
