Content Description
This accession contains a sealed set of sterile, disposable Postnasal Balloon ("Fox" model) - Nasal Catheter kit. This unit is designed to effectively control Epistaxis (Nosebleed conditions). The contents of the nasal catheter kit includes 1 soft rubber cushion, six aluminum clamps, a thin metal rod stylet, and a rubber inflation bulb, but no instructions. The kit is contained within a card stock box and also contains a wax paper bag of six folded aluminum clips to hold the rubber tubing in place. Two rubber bulb postnasal balloons are included, which are sealed in a plastic bag (unopened). The Storz catalog describes the postnasal balloon as being: "used to control nasal and nasopharyngeal bleeding. Easily inserted and removed without anesthesia and discomfort. Can be reused. Illustrated instructions supplied with each set (not included with this accession)."
